The GCCA operates under shared governance and leadership that supports the Academy’s Performance Contract, maintains liaison with business and industry partners, and fully utilizes flexibility to support student performance and school effectiveness.

Mission
Ensure the GCCA has a written mission statement that is focused on workforce development and student success and represents stakeholder needs as defined in the Performance Contract.
Our mission is to ensure that all students will be
successful in their learning and personal development through a system characterized by extensive community and parental involvement, quality resources, an exemplary staff, a safe and caring environment, and a challenging, personalized educational program encompassing advanced technology.
Morgan County Charter High School seeks funds to support plans to create a College and Career Academy (CCA). This academy will be a “whole school model” and be inclusive of all current students. The branding for the new academy will be Morgan County High School: A Georgia College and Career Academy (GaCCA). The district has incorporated the high school into the district charter and intends to focus on the development of career pathways through programs and strategies aimed at students grades K-12. The mission of
MCHS: GaCCA will be “Preparing Lifelong Learners for an Ever-Changing World”. The vision for the college and career academy is students graduating simultaneously with a high school diploma and post-secondary credentials.
Board Training
Participate in required annual board training in accordance with OCGA 20-2-2072 and SBOE Rule 160-4-9-.06
and the Performance Contract.
Instructor Flexibility
Utilize flexibility, including the teacher certification waiver where needed, to provide the best instructors possible
